Celebrating Recovery from Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP): It’s official – we’ve graduated from FIP! I must be a qualified cat caregiver now!
After 82 days of diligent treatment with the 441 protocol, my kitten is nearly healed. However, the fear of relapse lingers, which is why we continued the treatment until now. To all cat parents facing FIP, stay calm and persevere with the injections – healing is within reach! And remember, as long as the injections are administered correctly, there should be no issues with skin necrosis.
Initially, I was afraid, but the thought of giving up never crossed my mind. I’ve always believed that money can be earned back slowly, even over a lifetime, but the companionship of a cat is priceless. Your efforts are always recognized, even by your furry friend. The 441 treatment is known to be painful, but my little cat became exceptionally calm and quiet half a month after starting the treatment, no longer restless or vocal. She became incredibly affectionate, sticking by my side and sleeping next to me every day.
My dearest wish is for her to stay well, to be by my side longer and longer, free from illness and healthy for life, never to relapse! It’s been a hard journey, and it pained me to see her suffer. But we’ve finally made it through, looking back it seems we’ve crossed a mountain range in a single, light boat!
This story is a testament to the resilience and dedication required to overcome FIP, a once-fatal feline disease. With love, patience, and the right treatment, hope shines even in the face of adversity.
